Happened upon an EF class in Islamadora January 9, 2011
While kayaking in the Keys, I found an EF class in the AHEC program held in Islamadora at Founder’s Park. After taking a picture of the flyer, I turned around a took a picture of the scenery. Let me know when you need a long-term substitute teacher!!!
Boston EnhanceFitness training December 12, 2010
We had a great time at the Greater Boston Y EnhanceFitness training. The training took place in the historic Constitution Inn Y in Charlestown located right by the USS Constitution. The instructors all did a great job and I look forward to seeing the program fluorish and serve many more seniors in the Boston area. I loved the December sailing regatta and the Christmas tree on the sailboat. It was a great time in Boston. Good Luck!!
Great New Instructor Training in Baton Rouge, LA December 6, 2010
Just returned from a great trip to Baton Rouge, where the YMCA of the Capital Area has been funded through YUSA to implement EnhanceFitness. I had a great time with the instructors from the association. I love a Y that recognizes 
Mardi Gras as an official holiday! Thanks to everyone for a great training experience and I look forward to seeing your program flourish! I learned all about rice and gravy, drive through Daquari shops, and a lesson in not scheduling a training during the SEC championship game (even when LSU is not playing!) Thank you Tima and staff for your hospitality!
EnhanceFitness featured at the Y of Broward County Annual Meeting! December 6, 2010
Nearly 100 EnhanceFitness participants opened the YMCA of Broward County meeting at the Hard Rock by dancing down the aisles and showing off their energy and enthusiasm for their experience and improvements this year in the EnhanceFitness program. Thanks to everyone who made this a special day and a great showcase of our program’s success this year! A huge thankyou to all the participants in this great event and a special thank you to the instructors and volunteers who made the day special!
Hallmark Clip Airs October 21, 2010
The Hallmark Channel EnhanceFitness feature aired this morning on What the Stuff Boomer TV. The segment was filmed at The Mainlands of Tamarac and features EF participants from all over Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Great job participants–you look wonderful!!

Funding Announcement Party October 2, 2010
The YMCA of Broward County announced it’s Year 2 funding award from the Health Foundation of South Florida. The funding will allow 30 EnhanceFitness sites across Broward County to align under YMCA leadership. We celebrated with a party and a great EF class at St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church in Plantation. Thank you instructors, participants, and YMCA leadership for attending!
